Things I Learned from InuYasha

  • InuYasha:

    You do not deserve to have everything you want. You do not own people just because you were hurt as a child. Tragedy is not an excuse to make other people feel low. Having one person in your life that truly loves you is a blessing that many people do not truly get. Resenting others for their lives only ends up with you as the unhappy one. And because you love someone does not make them above hurting others, or above answering for their troubles. If you loved them then you would want them to be the best they can. Sometimes you have to let someone go, for your sake and those of others.

  • Kagome:

    A simple act of trying to be a hero can lead you to experience horrible things in the name of justice. Being young does not mean that everything will work out, hard work often trumps innate talent, and a good heart will save you in times of grief.

  • Kikyo:

    You do not own your "first love." Spending your life jealous and bitter over a guy will turn your into a monster. Even in the face of sickness and death, giving into hatred destroys who you once were.

  • Miroku:

    Even the handsome and charismatic die young. If you love someone you might not end up with them. You must live each moment to the fullest and understand it might be your last.

  • Sango:

    Living your life trying to avenge the dead might lead you to make some big mistakes in your life. Learning to love again is half the challenge of healing.

  • Shippo:

    Children have the amazing talent of seeing straight through to the heart of the problem. You can have more than one mother in your lifetime.

  • Sesshoumaru:

    Even the 'heartless' will fall in love with someone who loves them unconditionally.

  • Rin:

    Flowers, and the things that last for only a moment, are truly the most beautiful of all.

  • Kirara:

    Silence and strength are sometimes the only way you can support someone too stubborn to put their grief into words.

  • Naraku:

    Letting your greed and lust take over will turn you into a monster.
